Y.O.U. volunteers are a vital component of our many programs. Volunteering provides a rewarding way to give something back to your community, and gives you the satisfaction of helping and guiding a child's academic and personal development. Here are FOUR WAYS you can help:
|
1. Tell Us Your Skills Do you have a unique talent you would like to share with us? Great! We thrive on volunteer expertise. A pro bono marketing expert created the communications on this website, a volunteer team from Northwestern helped us develop our leadership transition plan, and a retired principal reviews grant requests before we send the to the U.S. Department of Education. If you’d like to share your talent, call Santrice at 847.866.1201 x330. |
2. Become A Mentor or Storyteller Do you have an extra hour a week to help youth succeed? Consider joining our Mentor Y.O.U.th initiative – a site based mentoring program for 6th to 12th graders from Nichols and Chute Middle School and Evanston Township High School. If you’d like to learn more about becoming a mentor, call Santrice at 847.866.1201 x330. Learn more about becoming a Storyteller or Coach in YES! (Youth Entrepreneurs Summer Progrm). |
|
3. Join Our Junior Board Are you a young professional interested in supporting and advocating for Evanston’s youth? Join our Junior Board, a group of leaders under 40 years old who volunteer, raising money, and promote awareness of Y.O.U.’s work in the community. The Junior Board is a fun, friendly, and caring community! Learn More. |
4. Participate In Events Would you like to join us for an event? We’d love to have you! Below is our calendar of community events for the year. |
